Obituary of Gregory Fox
Gregory Kelvin Fox
September 29, 1953 ~ September 1, 2019
Gregory Kelvin Fox, 65, Gas City, died unexpectedly at his home at 6:58 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019. He was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, on Tuesday, September 29, 1953, to parents, David and Delores "Charmaine" (Williams) Fox.
Gregory graduated from Madison-Grant High School and attended Technical School. He was a maintenance supervisor for over 20 years with Marion High School, retiring in 2004. He was a former member of Phi Delta Kappa.
Greg lived in Gas City with his beloved rescue dog, Shelby. Those in Gas City often saw Greg and Shelby tooling around in the truck, the golf cart, or, more recently, their red dune buggy. He had a good group of friends he played pool with most Friday nights, and he loved to work on his vehicles, which he had done on the side for over 30 years. He actually passed away while doing that hobby. He loved anything with a motor and wheels. Most of all, Greg loved being with his family and animals.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Sabrina (Tim) Butcher of Gas City; grandson, Tanner Butcher of Gas City; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David L. (Delores "Charmaine") Fox; sister, Tonya L. Fox; and ex-wife, Anna M. Fox, with whom he remained close until the day she died.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Gregory's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
